Plant Care

We believe that a little care goes a long way. Our general approach to plant and flower care is simple: provide fresh, seasonal blooms, respect their natural needs, and share tips so your flowers thrive at home. Whether it’s a bouquet, a live wreath, or a seasonal arrangement, our goal is for every bloom to bring joy for as long as possible.

Fresh Flower Bouquet Care

When you bring home your flowers:

  • Trim stems at an angle to help them absorb water.
  • Use fresh water and change it daily for the best vase life.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures — flowers like us prefer a consistent, moderate environment.

Some flowers, like daffodils, should not be cut again; we include special instructions when needed. Following these simple steps will help your bouquets stay vibrant and beautiful.

Dried Floral Care

When kept outside, the colors of the dried flowers will fade and become dull over a couple weeks. To avoid this, you should keep the pieces indoors, outside of direct sunlight and keep them in cool areas to make them last as long as possible.

Live Wreaths

Whether evergreen or floral, live wreaths thrive in cooler temperatures. Spritz them regularly to re-moisten the moss base, and they’ll stay fresh and beautiful for longer.

Pet Safety

Never let pets eat flowers. While most blooms are safe, some can make pets very sick or even be lethal. Examples include foxgloves, lilies, and delphiniums.

We do our best to minimize toxic plants because we have pets ourselves, but some beautiful flowers are still included in our designs. If you’re unsure, please consult the ASPCA list of toxic and non-toxic plants.

Important: We cannot be responsible for animals ingesting flowers from our farm. Always keep blooms out of reach of pets.
